The Assistive Technology Innovation Wiki
The Assistive Technology Innovation Wiki is a database and wiki that showcases assistive technology (AT) innovations and other related accessibility matters for people with disabilities.
This initiative is spearheaded by Dr. George Mwika Kayange, an alumnus of the Commonwealth PhD Scholarships at Loughborough University in London and a member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).
The initiative is an extension of the work he has been involved in for many years in the AT sector, particularly in Southern Africa. Although the project is indirectly linked to his doctoral research, it also supports his long-term goal of establishing a global forum for AT innovations.

Centralised Knowledge Hub:
The wiki will compile innovations, case studies, and various other resources on AT innovations in Southern Africa and globally, making it easier for stakeholders to access valuable information on assistive technology solutions for people with disabilities.
Fostering Innovation:
By showcasing AT advancements, the platform will inspire developers, researchers, and policymakers to create and improve accessible technologies that address real-world challenges.
Global Accessibility Advocacy:
The database will amplify awareness and advocacy for affordable and inclusive AT, particularly in under-resourced regions, helping bridge the gap between the availability of technology and the accessibility needs of people with disabilities.
